Eve's Fall

A slow fall
  Painful fall
     Secret fall

Like Eve when she partook of the forbidden fruit.

      She knew she shouldn't.
             But she did anyway

And she fell...

He is my forbidden fruit.
        I fell
   Though I knew I shouldn't
Still, I fell

             Why must he be forbidden?
    The sweetest fruit
             The most beautiful fruit
                                  The kindest fruit

Yet he is forbidden.
   I  partook.

   Now I'm in a fallen state...

This was an experiment. I hadn't tried writing with a blatant biblical allusion before, and decided I wanted to. I was very happy with how it turned out.
